2. The current status of the personal information files

3. The personal information processing and storage period

(1) Seggi Century (Heat Plus) shall process and store personal information within the duration of the processing and storage period that is agreed upon by the provider of the personal information or the legally permitted personal information processing and storage period.

(2) The duration of the personal information processing and storage is as follows;

4. The rights and obligations of the personal information providers and their legal representatives  

The provider of the information and his/her legal representatives can exercise the following rights as the provider of personal information.

(1) The provider of personal information may demand Seggi Century to give access to the personal information or correct, delete or cease to process such information, etc.

(2) The exercise of the rights specified in Item 1 above can be, in accordance with Item 1 under Article 41 of the Execution Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, done in writing, email, FAX, or other means. Seggi Century shall investigate the case without delay.

(3) The exercise of the rights in Item 1 above can be done by the agent of the information provider, such as the legal representative or other delegates. In such a case, it is required that a power of attorney in accordance with the appendix of the Personal Information Protection Act be submitted.

(4) The demand for access or cessation of processing of personal information can limit the rights of the privacy information provided in accordance with Item 5 under Article 35 and Item 2 under Article 37 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

(5) The demand for a correction or deletion of privacy information may not be granted if the information is required to be gathered in accordance with other laws.

(6) When there is a request for access, correction, deletion, or cessation of processing of personal information in accordance with the rights of the information provider, Seggi Century shall verify whether the party submitting such a request is the provider or his/her lawful representative.

5. Completing the personal information items that are to be processed

(1) Seggi Century (‘http://www.heatplus.co.kr,’ hereinafter referred to as ‘Heat Plus’) is processing the following personal information items;

- Optional items: Mobile phone number, region, type of facility, floor area, estimated date of installation, current heating system, current wiring status, others, attachment, past experience of competing products or other products, intent to receive the training from our company.

6. Disposal of personal information  

Seggi Century (‘Heat Plus’) is to dispose of the personal information as soon as the purpose of personal processing information is fulfilled, as a principle. 

 The process, time limit, and method of disposal are as follows;

- The process of disposal

The information provided by the user is to be transferred to a separate DB when the purpose is fulfilled (or a separate document in the case the information is on paper.) Then, in accordance with the internal policies or the related provisions of the law, the information is to be disposed of immediately or after a certain period of time. The personal information that is transferred to the DB is not used for any other purpose unless required by the law.

- Time limit for the disposal of the information

The personal information of the user is, once the storage period of the personal information expires, to be disposed of within five days from the end of the storage period or, if the information is no longer needed due to the fulfillment of the purpose of processing the personal information; or if the information is no longer required due to the abolishing of the service or the termination of the business, etc., within five days from the date when it is recognized that the processing of the information is no longer required.

Electrical files are to be deleted using technical processes that irrevocably destroys the information.

7. The installation, operation, and refusal of the mechanisms that automatically gather personal information

(1) Seggi Century uses ‘cookies,’ which are used to save and load up the usage information as necessary in order to provide personalized services.

(2) A cookie is a small amount of information that is sent by the server (http) that is used to operate the website to the browser of the computer of the user. Sometimes, a cookie is saved in the hard drive of the PC of the user.

A. The purpose of using a cookie: A cookie is used to gather the information on the access records of the services and websites that the user accessed, search keywords, secure access methods, or other items, with a view to providing the user with personalized information.

B. The refusal of the installation or operation of a cookie: You can access the Tools > Internet Option > Privacy menu of your Internet browser to change the settings to refuse the placement of a cookie on your computer.

C. When you refuse the placement of a cookie, you may experience difficulties in personalized services.

(4) The information provider may contact the privacy information protection officer or the responsible department regarding any inquiries, complaints, or remedies for the damage suffered from regard to personal information that occurred as you use the service (or the business) of Seggi Century (‘http://www.heatplus.co.kr,’ hereinafter referred to as ‘Heat Plus.’) Seggi Century shall answer to and process the complaints or inquiries submitted by the information provider.

9. A revision of the privacy policy

(1) This privacy policy shall take effect starting from the date of enactment. And, if there is any addition, deletion, or amendment due to the law or policies, we will make an announcement for such a change or amendment by no later than seven days before the implementation of the changes through our Announcement section.

10. The measures to secure privacy information

Seggi Century (‘Heat Plus’) has employed the necessary technical, administrative, and physical measures in order to secure the personal information herein in accordance with Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

1. Minimizing the number of staff handling personal information and their training

We have designated the staff who handle privacy information, and the handling of such information is limited to these employees, as a part of our effort to manage privacy information.

2. The establishment and execution of the internal management plan

To ensure the safe processing of privacy information, we have established an internal management plan.

3. The technical measures against hacking attacks, etc.

Seggi Century (‘Heat Plus’) has installed security software to protect privacy information from theft, leakage, or damages due to a hacking attack or a computer virus, etc. The said software is updated and inspected regularly in order to prevent unauthorized access to the restricted areas, which are monitored and protected using technological or physical means.

4. The encryption of privacy information

The privacy information of the users is saved and managed as encrypted so that only the provider can access the recognize the information. Important data files or their transmission data are encrypted or locked as an additional layer of security.

5. Access logs and prevention of tampering

The access logs to the personal information processing system are archived for at least six months, with security protection in place to prevent tampering, theft, or loss of the access records.

6. Limiting the access to privacy information

We have taken the necessary measures to control the access to privacy information by means of granting, adjusting, or deleting the access clearance to the database system. Also, we have an infiltration block system in order to prevent unauthorized access from the outside.
